Workplace - God in 60 Seconds Намуна

How to receive criticism well
How did you respond the last time someone gave you negative feedback about your work?
With anger?
Or in a defensive way, perhaps?
Of course, none of us likes receiving criticism, but sometimes we need it to grow and improve.
So, how can we learn to receive it well?
For me, it stems from knowing who I am beyond my work.
As a Christian, I'm a child of God loved by Him.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
And so my value and worth doesn't come from what I achieve or accomplish - my work.
But instead, I have a secure identity in Him.
So when people criticise my work, I don't need to take it personally.
Rather, I can listen and grow in light of the suggestions made.
"The ear that listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise." - Proverbs 15:31 (ESV)
