Jesus encouraged those who were fearful. He was there for them and had compassion on them.

Even when we face troubles in this world, we can have peace in Jesus. In John 16:33 (NIV), Jesus said: "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

All the troubles you have might seem huge to you, but God is bigger than any of them. Even when Jesus died, He rose again! Nothing could hold Him down. Jesus overcame the world!

What are some troubles you have right now?

When do you feel calm and at peace?

How does knowing that in Jesus you can have peace since He overcame the world, encourage you?

Prayer:

Lord, thank you that I am Fearless. When I am having troubles, help me have peace in You. I praise You that You have overcome the world! In Jesus' name, amen.

Action:

Today, rest from your troubles, knowing that Jesus is carrying them and that in Him you can have peace. One practical way to do this is any time one of your worries comes to mind, thank the Lord that He's going to take care of it, or recite John 16:33 in your mind.
