The Chains Stop Here

DAY 2 OF 3

Breaking Soul Ties

God created your soul to bond deeply—and that’s a beautiful thing. But not every bond is meant to last.

Sometimes, our souls get tied to people in ways that God never intended.

Through unhealthy relationships, trauma, or patterns we didn’t see clearly at the time, pieces of us can become entangled with someone else—emotionally, spiritually, or even sexually. And when those ties aren’t cut, they linger.

They echo. They influence.

You may feel it when you can’t stop thinking about someone long after the relationship ended.

When their voice still shapes your choices. When a part of you feels stuck in a chapter you already closed. That’s not always just memory—it might be a soul tie that’s still pulling on your peace.

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to stay tethered. Breaking a soul tie isn’t about bitterness or blame—it’s about freedom. It’s about taking back what was never theirs to keep and giving it back to the God who knows how to make you whole again.

You are not too late. You are not too far gone. And you are not bound forever.

Jesus came to untangle what the enemy tried to twist. And with His help, you can finally breathe free.

Scripture-Based Prayer:

Lord, I bring every unhealthy soul tie before You now. I release what was never mine to carry, and I receive Your healing where I’ve been bound.

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers… What fellowship can light have with darkness?”
—2 Corinthians 6:14–15 NIV

I recognize the connections that were unhealthy—emotionally, spiritually, or physically. I break every unequal yoke. I choose light. I choose freedom.

“I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
—2 Corinthians 6:16 NIV

I cut every tie that binds me to someone You did not choose for me. What I gave away, I take back. What was taken from me, I surrender to You for healing.

“You are not your own; you were bought at a price…”
—1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV

I am not theirs. I am not what happened. I am Yours—body, soul, and spirit. Wash every corner of me clean.

Be close to me here, Lord. Heal every broken place. Fill every emptied space.

I am whole. I am free. I am Yours.

"You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

My entire being—body, soul, and spirit—was purchased by the blood of Jesus. I no longer belong to past relationships, traumatic experiences, or sinful entanglements.

I ask You to cleanse and restore every part of me that has been wounded, fragmented, or bound.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 NIV

Heal every place of brokenness where these soul ties have been severed. Fill those spaces with Your presence and truth. I am whole. I am Yours. I am free to walk forward into everything You have purposed for me. In Jesus’ Name, I pray.
