We can make ourselves available to God and others by giving them our full attention. We connect with the Lord and others when we listen. It's also a simple way to care.

Have you ever been talking with someone when they aren't really paying attention and interrupts you? It's hurtful, right? Maybe you've done that to someone? I think most of us have.

Well, in Proverbs 18:13, we are told that it is foolishness to answer before listening. Let's not be foolish, but instead listen. God's second greatest commandment is to love others, and listening is a part of that.

When we are listening to God, we probably will not actually hear Him, but He speaks through His Word and others. Take some quiet moments to listen to the Lord today.
