Day 2 | THE GREATEST ARTIST

“For by Him all things were created— in heaven and on earth, the seen and the unseen, whether thrones or angelic powers or rulers or authorities. All was created through Him and for Him.” ‭ Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭TLV‬‬

As you create, invite God into everything you do and inquire of Him. There is sanctity in knowing He can trust you to ask Him questions and receive direction. There is surrender, communion, and a closeness that you experience when you are creating with Him. This process can bring healing to your heart, fresh revelation, as well as innovative ideas and solutions. Creating can be a healing balm to you because your expression is an avenue of connection with the Holy Spirit. Expression is a way God speaks to you!

It is easy to think your ability to create is dependent on your gifting, but you must guard your heart, ensuring you are not taking the glory for how God has gifted you to create. Creation should draw you closer to your Creator and point back to Him! Steward your expression with a fear of the Lord, constantly asking God to search your heart and reveal how you could further please Him with your expression. Let your desire to please Him be evident in all you create.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You that by You and for You, all things were created. I desire to please and worship You with all I put my mind and heart into creating. I invite You now to search me and reveal how You want me to express my love for You. Amen.

APPLICATION

• Ask God to search your heart and reveal any area you have used art or your gift to further your own agenda. Repent for anything He reveals!
