Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read 1 Peter 4:10–11 again.
- What does it tell us we should do?
- What can we learn from it about how to share our faith together?
- What reason does it give for doing this?
A: Application
What would you say are some of your gifts?
What's a gift you don't possess that you enjoy celebrating in others? How can you do that this week?
How could your life be different if you joined others in using your combined gifts to share your faith?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer about possibilities you see for joining others in using your gifts together. Talk to God about any hesitancies you have. Then say thank you for how God has gifted you and for the people in your life you can join in sharing your faith with.

About this Plan

Sharing our faith isn’t just about having the perfect words—it’s about how we live. In this 4-week devotional from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how Daniel and his friends pointed others to God through their actions. Their reputation showed that faith is shared not just in words but in how we live daily. We’ll also see how the right friends can encourage us to live out our faith.
