Storm WatchНамуна

Take a minute and think about a character from the Bible whose story has strongly impacted your life. Perhaps learning about the life of Paul, a man who went from persecutor to preacher after an encounter with Jesus, has encouraged you to share your faith with the people around you. Or what about Esther, a woman whose incredible bravery and faith helped to save an entire nation of people? You may even connect with the story of Zacchaeus, a man who recognized his shortcomings (no pun intended) and changed his entire life after spending one meal with Jesus. These are the stories that remind us that no matter where you are in your life circumstances, God can use you to change the world around you.
You don’t have to be a queen like Esther or have the influence of Paul to make an impact. Instead, all God asks of us is for us to invite Him in and surrender every area of our lives to Him. Our storms may blow us into unexpected waters, but it’s God who can use our circumstances for His glory. Where are some places in your life where you may need to take a step back from your control and allow God to take the reins? Is there a storm you’re currently facing that has the potential for God to use in some way? God is not limited by the actions of a person or the things that happen. He is bigger than all of it.

About this Plan

We all experience storms—not just physical storms but also storms due to personal circumstances. Our lives are suddenly hit with waves of scary decisions or are rocked by situations completely out of our control. We’ll discover what it looks like when God uses storms to get our attention, to help us see how God can use the storms of life in unexpected ways, and also remind ourselves and each other that, even in the eye of a terrible storm, we are never alone.
