Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Намуна

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed by pain, worry, or the weight of the world? What do you do when a difficult situation in life, or a problem you’re facing, is out of your control?
Jesus enters Peter’s home and finds his mother-in-law sick with a fever. There’s no drama or spectacle—He touches her hand, and she is healed. By evening, crowds gather, bringing the sick and the demon-possessed, and Jesus heals them all. This isn’t just about miracles; it’s about who Jesus is. Matthew connects this to Isaiah’s prophecy: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.” Jesus didn’t come just to perform healings; He came to carry our burdens, our brokenness, and our sin.
Today, ponder this: Do you bring your burdens to Jesus? Or do you try to carry them alone? If there is something weighing on your mind and heart today, bring it to Jesus in prayer.
