Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Намуна

What do your words reveal about your heart?
Jesus uses a simple but profound image: a tree is known by its fruit. The Pharisees had just accused Him of working by Satan’s power, exposing their own hearts. Words aren’t neutral—they overflow from what’s inside. A heart full of faith bears good fruit, but a heart resisting God produces only decay.
The glory of Jesus is seen in His perfect words—always true, always life-giving. He speaks as the faithful Servant of Isaiah 50:4, whose words sustain the weary. But He also warns: on the day of judgment, we will give an account for every careless word. Not just blasphemy, but every whisper, complaint, and half-truth.
Today, ponder this: What does your speech say about what’s filling your heart?
