How to Read 'Numbers'

DAY 10 OF 13

Simple Reminders

‘… you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue chord on each tassel. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord … then you will remember and obey … and will be consecrated to your God.’ Numbers 15:38-40

Just a simple little blue chord entwined in a tassel on the corner of your shirt, or trousers, or coat – but it’s there as a reminder of what our heavenly Father has taught us, that ‘man not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord’, Deuteronomy 8:3.

Little reminders all around us to help us remember, focus on and pursue our inheritance in the kingdom.

About this Plan

How to Read 'Numbers'

‘Numbers’, the fourth book in the Old Testament, narrates the journey made by the Israelites from Mount Sinai north through the desert to the plains of Moab and Ammon on the Eastern side of the river Jordan, opposite Jericho. In this plan we shall study in Numbers how the Lord prepared his people to take possession of their inheritance, so that as his disciples we can learn more about engaging in the kingdom and living in our inheritance in Christ.
