Day 7: How Convinced Are You?
"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love"
(Romans 8:38-39, NLT).
I’m not a fan of dreams! The truth is, they get me in trouble. My wife has these vivid dreams that feel so real to her, and somehow, I always end up having to defend myself. She wakes up and asks, “Why were you cheating on me in my dream?” And suddenly, I’m caught in a situation I had nothing to do with! No matter what I say, she’s convinced that her dream had some basis in reality.
That’s the power of conviction—it shapes how we interpret reality. But here’s a question for you today: What are you convinced of? Too often, we let our feelings or experiences convince us of the wrong things—like believing that God’s Love is conditional or that our mistakes have made us unworthy of His Grace.
Paul, however, had no doubts. He was fully convinced that nothing—no mistake, no failure, no hardship—could separate him from God’s Love. This wasn’t just an emotional belief; it was a deep conviction rooted in God’s Character. Paul didn’t allow circumstances to define God’s Love—he allowed God’s Love to define his circumstances.
Are you as convinced as Paul was? Or have you allowed life’s struggles to shake your confidence in God’s Love for you? Today, choose to be fully convinced that God loves you unconditionally, relentlessly, and without hesitation. Nothing can change that!
PRAYER:
Jesus, today I choose to believe that Your Love for me is unshakable. No matter what I feel or experience, I stand firm in the Truth that nothing can separate me from Your Love. Amen.
