Unpacking My Griefcase: 5 Day DevotionalНамуна

Day 2: Identifying What’s Inside
Grief often brings unexpected emotions—some you might not even recognize. It’s usually a whirlwind of emotions. You might feel sadness one moment and anger the next. Take time to unpack your grief-case and name what’s inside: memories, regrets, anger, or even guilt. Naming your feelings gives them less power over you.
Ecclesiastes 3:4 reminds us that life is a rhythm of seasons. Grief is a natural and necessary part of life. It’s okay to mourn—it’s even holy. However, identifying what’s inside your grief-case allows you to begin processing it. God already knows what’s in your heart, so there’s no need to hide it because it's often impossible to heal what you’re unwilling to reveal.
Action Step: Identify one feeling or thought you’ve been avoiding. Write about it, reflect on it, and ask God for wisdom to process it.
Prayer: Lord, I need Your help to navigate the emotions inside me. Help me see them clearly and give me the grace to name what I feel. Amen.
