Lent | Week 2: Trusting God for What You NeedНамуна

God Provides in the Wilderness
On their journey to the promised land, the Israelites found themselves in the wilderness. Food and resources were scarce, they struggled, and all the while, they weren’t sure they’d even make it. God knew how taxing this journey would be for them, so he made sure to provide just what they needed. He sent down manna from the skies to feed them each morning. It wasn’t a five-star meal by any stretch, but it was enough.
In the same way, God promises to provide for you. He may not always do it abundantly, or exactly the way you hope, but he’ll always give you just enough.
Do you trust that God will provide today? Take a moment to reflect on the ways he has already taken care of you, and thank him for providing just what you need.
Pray: God, thank you for the ways you provide for me each day. Help me trust you, even when I can’t see the full picture. Amen.

About this Plan

In the second week of Lent, we’ll see how God met the needs of his people in the Bible - whether through manna in the wilderness, provision in scarcity, or strength in weakness. As we reflect on these stories, we’ll be challenged to trust that he is faithful to provide everything we truly need as we focus our attention back on him. 📖 This is part 2 of a 6-part Bible Reading Plan series! Part 1 is "Lent Week 1: Turning Back to God"
