Praying From the Gospels

DAY 4 OF 4

Jesus Christ Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (John 14:6, NKJV)

Prayer

Jesus Christ, You are The Word. The Creator. God from the beginning. You are part of the triune Godhead, the Trinity:

God the Father,
God the Son,
God the Spirit.

Jesus Christ, You are God’s Word, God’s communication, God’s message, God’s living truth.

Jesus Christ, You came to save—to be God’s in-person communication.

Jesus Christ, You came to love and to die, to seek and save the lost.

A sacrifice of immeasurable value was required to atone for sins against an immeasurable God. So Jesus Christ, God in flesh, willingly absorbed the just penalty for our sins.

There is no other way. There is no other truth. There is no other life without Jesus Christ.

Jesus, forever, we praise Your glorious name! In Your name, Amen.
