The Way of the MarksmenНамуна

Day 4: Know Who You Are and Walk Like Jesus
Today, we explore two essential principles for a true marksman: discovering who God says you are and embracing the call to walk as Jesus walked. Together, these principles shape the foundation for a life of strength, purpose, and impact.
Your identity as a man isn’t defined by your job, your achievements, or the expectations of others—it’s grounded in who God says you are. In 1 Peter 2:9, God declares, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” You are chosen by God, set apart for a purpose, and valued beyond measure. This truth gives you the courage to step forward as a leader in your home, church, and community, knowing your worth is not tied to the world’s standards but to your identity as a son of God.
Once you know who you are in Christ, the next step is to walk as He walked. This isn’t about perfection—it’s about transformation. Jesus modeled what it means to lead with humility, strength, and compassion.
Philippians 2:5-7 captures His example:
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant.
As men, we are called to lead through service, putting others before ourselves and using our influence to build up those around us.
Walking like Jesus means embodying His character in your actions, words, and attitudes. Colossians 3:12 challenges men to “clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” These are not signs of weakness but of strength under control—a strength that comes from living in alignment with God’s will. Whether in your role as a husband, father, brother, or friend, reflecting Christ’s character shows true masculinity grounded in faith and love.
Being a man of God means knowing your identity and embracing the responsibility that comes with it. You are called to live with purpose and to lead with integrity. The more you walk as Jesus did, the more you’ll inspire others to see Christ in you.
Today, remember this: You are chosen, called, and equipped by God to live as a man of faith and action. Step into who He says you are, and let the example of Jesus guide your steps. As you do, you’ll not only grow in your relationship with God but also leave a lasting impact on those around you. This is the life of strength and purpose God has prepared for you.
