More Than Just a Story - the Book of JohnНамуна

Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled
Have you ever spent time worrying about things that are out of your control? What goes through your mind when someone says, Trust me? In Chapter 14, Jesus asks the disciples to let go of their worries and trust in Him as they trust in God. We should do the same.
God created us with lungs that breathe and a heart that beats rhythmically without having to think about it. Consider how we trust the sun to rise each morning and the seasons to change. If we can trust Him with such critical functions in our daily lives, we surely can trust Him with our worries.
We may live in an uncertain world. The good news is we do not serve an uncertain God.
How can we look to God to help us through the hard times?
Verses 13 and 14 say, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
What have you been afraid to ask God for?
Let us place our worries in His capable hands and trust God’s perfect plan. Try this week to focus on trusting in God more than trusting in yourself.
