The Breath of LentНамуна

"It takes all kinds" is something you might utter if you saw someone swimming in a lake in the middle of winter or another wearing her sunglasses while indoors. It is an old euphemism of the British phrase "it takes all sorts to make the world." This saying emphasizes that people have different characters, opinions, and abilities. What is amazing is that God uniquely created each person. In His omniscience, God can speak to every unique individual in their own tailor-made method to set them on a path of purposeful ministry.
This idea of uniqueness was never more valid than in the life and ministry of Paul. His conversion was an over-the-top, stark moment that shook him to the core. Possibly, you are like Paul, who needed a bright light to knock him off his feet for you to take notice of God's work within you. Maybe you simply need a still, small voice to give direction. The bottom line is that God is within you and always speaks. God's work in you is customized to get your attention. The question is, "Are you listening?". This week's breath prayer is your commitment to an attentive life.
Inhale: Christ in me
Exhale: The hope of glory.
