How to Be Unstoppable for GodНамуна

I consider myself a perfectionist. Usually, that is a good thing, but perfectionism definitely has its dark sides. Sometimes, the fear of not getting the desired outcome prevents me from beginning something in the first place. Or I think to myself, "Why would I do this or that when there are people who could do it so much better than me?"
Can you relate to this feeling?
Fears can become roadblocks, especially when we allow them to influence our actions and decisions. The pursuit of perfection often leads to procrastination.
God doesn’t desire perfectionistic behaviour; instead, He wants us to be available and obedient. When we are, He will give us the strength to be successful in what we do.
“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” – 2 Chronicles 16:9
“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land” – Isaiah 1:19
Instead of seeking perfection, we should seek God, 1 Chronicles 16:11-12 says:
“Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvellous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth…”
The fear of making a mistake doesn’t have to keep you inactive my friend. I encourage you to lean on the Lord and release your fears to Him.
I’d like to pray for you today: “Heavenly Father, give *my friend courage to be available and obedient to Your will and surrender their fears to You. May their desire for perfection no longer prevent their progression. I pray for my friend to rise up and move into action, no longer held back by fears! In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
