Week 1: Being Human in the Age of AIНамуна

It is a humbling experience to reflect on how small we are in God’s creation. David, the author of today’s psalm, acknowledges this; he offers an unexpected perspective: “You Lord—the one who made all of this—care for me. You crowned humans with glory and honor and put all creatures under our dominion.”
David’s posture of humility shows that he understands his role in relation to God. He is a steward of creation, not Lord of it.
It also shows that he understands the fullness of God’s love for humanity. Even though he does not deserve God’s grace and care, God joyfully gives it.
So, whether you are struggling with feeling small, or perhaps you feel weighed down by pride, these verses offer comfort and a gentle call to humility. As you read, let the verses fill you with hope, knowing that you are seen and cherished by God and that your life has profound meaning in God’s grand story.
