Consider It All JoyНамуна

Stillness Before God
But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Psalm 131:2
O Lord,
I come before You now, actively pushing aside the items in my mind that tempt me to find this time with You an annoyance. Being still before You is a beautiful thing, so why am I so distracted? Help me, Jesus, to deny my pride, to deny any arrogance within me. I desire rest in Your presence!
Rejoicing comes with this moment of stillness. In Your presence is fullness of joy, and I experience that joy as I consciously choose humility at Your feet. Thank You for the grace You promise to the humble. Help keep my arrogance at bay as the items on my list demand my attention. Those things can wait. Nothing in my life compares to Your greatness and to how marvelous it is to sit in Your presence! And so, I will remain calm and quiet before You, experiencing the joy and total peace of Your provision and glory. I find total satisfaction in You, Father. Thank You for the love and tenderness of these still moments before You!
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
