The Way to Follow Jesus According to the Gospel of LukeНамуна

Day 14 - Luke 17: 1-32
Being Shaped into His Disciple
Jesus continues shaping his disciples by clearly teaching and demonstrating the principles that govern His kingdom.
● It's one thing to be tempted to sin (and everyone is) but it's a whole different story to be the one doing the tempting. Jesus warns that there will be unbearable suffering for the one who causes others to sin.
● Correcting other believers when they sin and offering forgiveness when they repent, is mandatory for Jesus' followers.
● Using the smallest amount of faith conceivable, can move obstacles out of the way.
● Serving the Lord is not some special calling. It is expected if you are His disciple.
● Giving thanks and acknowledging God's favor strengthens your faith.
● Being distracted by the ongoing busyness of everyday life can cause you to miss seeing the signs of Jesus' return. You end up clinging to your life instead of freely letting go in surrender and trust.
Followers of Jesus are radically different in beliefs, thoughts, words and actions.
Is that you?Are you radically different and would others who know you agree?
