Defeating Fear: Psalms of PeaceНамуна

Our Good Shepherd
When fear and worry threaten to overwhelm us, Psalm 23 offers a powerful reminder: our peace isn't dependent on our circumstances, but on the God who tenderly cares for us.
David, a shepherd himself, understood something profound about care and protection. Just as he carefully watched over his sheep, God watches over us with even greater love and attention. Think about a shepherd's role: providing food, finding safe pastures, protecting from danger, guiding the flock, and restoring weary sheep.
Those same qualities describe how God cares for us. He provides what we need, offers us rest, restores our soul, gives us direction, and surrounds us with confidence and peace. Today, take a moment to reflect: Which of these gifts do you need most right now?
As you read Psalm 23, shift your focus from your anxious circumstances to the Good Shepherd who cares for you more deeply than you could ever imagine. Remember: when the Shepherd leads, fear has no ground to stand.
Prayer
God, give me this kind of confidence in Your character. Help me seek Your presence more than I seek solutions.
