Church & StudentsНамуна

We are in the grip of a slow awakening in the student world as we continue to hear story after story of students coming to know Jesus. This is a story that hasn’t just begun now, it's been unfolding across generations, prayers of those who have sown in tears that God would move powerfully in this nation, and in the next generation; we are standing on the answered prayers of those faithful intercessors. This 21-day devotional is a way for us to be reminded of who God is, who we are and our part in His mission to students; and in all this, we get to join in through prayer.
"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight."
No matter what we do in life, we often find our identities shaped by what we achieve or the roles we play. Ephesians 1:4 reminds us that we are chosen by God, a truth that lays a firm foundation for our identity. Before time began, God knew us and chose us with a purpose—to be holy and blameless.
This calling goes beyond our individual lives; it extends to how we live as disciples of Christ at university, at our workplace, and even in our day-to-day interactions with those around us. We are living in a time of great openness on our university campuses. Students are more open now than ever to Jesus, and we are hearing stories of students finding hope in Jesus week after week.
Being chosen also means that we are not alone in this mission. The same God who called us also equips us by his spirit with the strength, wisdom, and courage we need, we are not alone. So whether it looks like inviting our friends to church, or being the one who will stand in the gap for students we know who don’t yet know Jesus, what will it look like to be a chosen generation on your university campus?
Today, let’s embrace our identity as those chosen by God. Let's actively seek ways to live out God’s mission, bringing light and hope to those around us, and trusting that our efforts are part of His greater plan.
Question: Would you pray today for a friend/student you know who doesn’t know Jesus?
