The prophets wrote of a coming Messiah. Those who had studied the Scriptures were looking forward to His coming. During Jesus's earthly ministry, His identity and work were being increasingly recognized.

In modern times, the name of Jesus is even more globally recognized. How would you feel if you saw Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, right in front of you? If you were to put yourself in the position of anyone in the Bible who encountered Him, what would be your reaction? While we may not be able to see Jesus physically today, how have you recognized God's presence in your life? What is a past situation in your life where God was working, but you didn't recognize it was God until later? Are you currently in a place where you are seeing God work in your life, or do you need to walk more closely with Him?
