Journey With Jesus 365Намуна

The time had come for the Savior of the world to be taken, and to give His life for the world. Everything seemed to go quickly after Jesus finished praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. One of the disciples named Judas, betrayed him to the soldiers and the religious leaders. Jesus decided not to hide or run. Instead, He offered Himself. He was interrogated and questioned, but Jesus never defended Himself. He was there to do the will of the Father. Through every moment in this chapter, Jesus was never caught off guard. God’s will was being accomplished. This passage gives a believer a deeper appreciation for their Savior, seeing what he endured to pay for the sins of the world. It is a reminder that Jesus gives hope and nothing is a surprise to Him. We can have hope when we trust in Him!
What do you think the disciples were thinking or feeling when Jesus was taken away?
