A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

The High Priest and some elders arrive to present before Felix with a groveling lawyer who seems eager to impress Felix. A group that is glaringly missing from the prosecutors are the initial accusers: the Jews from Asia. The charges leveled against Paul are that he is an “agitator among all the Jews throughout the world” and from the Nazarene sect. They also add in at the end that Paul tried to profane the Temple (referring to the assumption that Paul had taken Gentiles into the Temple, which he hadn’t). In Paul’s response to the accusations against him, we get yet another insight into his wisdom in how to speak to the person he was in front of.
