Living in Increase (Part 12) - Increase in FocusНамуна

Not Ashamed
One of the most crucial things to remember about sharing our faith is that we should never be ashamed of the Good News of Jesus. Unfortunately, Christianity is not necessarily portrayed as “popular” in the media. If Christianity gets any coverage by pop culture, it is mostly always in a mocking or irreverent way. For this reason, some people who do not know Jesus personally will tend to make assumptions about Christians. They may have had a poor encounter with a Christian or church leader in the past that has led them to question the goodness of Jesus.
Regardless of what people think about Christians or Christianity, you should never feel ashamed of the Gospel. Jesus has been so good to us. He gave His life for us! And that includes people who don’t know Jesus yet. Often, what people think the Gospel is and what it actually is are very different things. Remember, there is nothing shameful about the Gospel. It is the best news anyone will ever hear, and chances are, people are craving to hear something good! Feel encouraged and empowered to share it with those around you.

Action Step: Find one person to share the Gospel with today. Don’t be weird about it–simply encourage someone with God’s Word and remember to be gentle and respectful.
