Worship With CXMMXNS: A 3-Day DevotionalНамуна

Day 2: Follow Jesus
Romans 10:9
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
I wonder if you can remember when you first made the decision to follow Jesus?
For me, I was on a stormy beach somewhere on the southern tip of Australia. I had just turned 17 and was the only one around. There was no music or altar call—just the sound of waves and wind. I prayed, “If You are real… would You become more and more real to me?” It wasn’t the kind of prayer you make when you have all the answers. I still had questions and doubts, but I knew I needed God. There was no looking back—the decision was made: my future would be in whatever God had for me.
The decision to follow Jesus may feel absolute in the moment, but living it out is a daily journey. It’s a series of constant choices, small decisions, and intentional steps forward. Jesus is never standing still. He isn’t stuck in our past, but is present in our now, leading us into the future. His promise is not just that we have a hope and a future, but that He is actively drawing us into the reality of it.
Reflection:
Think about the moment you decided to follow Jesus. How does that decision shape your daily life today? What small choices can you make today to move forward with Him?
