Day 7: The Casualties from Broken Covenant - The Problem, The Pain, The Punishment

*Scripture:* Romans 6:23 (KJV)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

*Devotion:*

Breaking a covenant with God has serious consequences. We must understand that God takes covenants very seriously; so much so that many times in the Bible, blood was required for a covenant to be established. The problem of sin leads to breaking the covenant with God, causing pain and ultimately, punishment. But through Jesus, God offers a way to restore our broken covenant, giving us the gift of eternal life instead of the death we deserve.

*Prayer:*

Father, I repent of any broken covenants in my life. Thank You for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Help me to walk faithfully in our restored relationship. Amen.
