Scripture Snapshots: A Brief Journey Through the BibleНамуна

1 Chronicles (Book 13/66) – A Book of Israel’s History
1 and 2 Chronicles covers the same period as 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings but focuses mainly on Judah. 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings were written at the beginning of the exile to Babylon, concentrating on their sin. 1 and 2 Chronicles were written post-exile as they tried to reestablish themselves as a nation. It points to God’s restorative work, exemplified perfectly through Jesus Christ.
These summaries are meant to help you understand the book, but so many historical and factual details were passed over in favor of brevity. This devotional plan is intended to give you a snapshot of the book and help you understand God’s redemptive plan throughout the Bible.
