The Cost of Self-Preservation

Self-preservation leads us to try to save our lives by our own means, but Jesus teaches us that by surrendering our lives to Him, we find true life. It is a paradox that challenges our understanding, but it is a fundamental truth of the gospel.

Reflect on areas in your life where you are trying to preserve yourself instead of trusting God. Ask God for the courage to surrender these areas to Him.

Prayer: Father, I surrender to You all the areas of my life where I am trying to preserve myself. Help me trust in You and find true life in Your ways. In Jesus' name, Amen.
