God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Намуна

Ephesians: Week 2 – Day 2
Christians may talk about looking distinct from the world, but do we sound distinct from the world? Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. If our hearts have been renewed and formed to the likeness of Christ, our speech will reflect that reality.
When Paul describes the new life we receive in Christ, he lists several ways our conversational habits will change as we grow in Christlikeness. When the world lies, we will tell the truth. When the world engages in corrupting talk, we will encourage and build up. When the world slanders, we will speak in kindness. When the world voices its discontentment, we will express gratitude. When the world speaks harshly, we will communicate tenderly.
Do you struggle with any of these? Ask the Lord to help you surrender your tongue to Him.
