God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Намуна

2 Corinthians – Day 2
Have you ever smelled something and had an emotional response? Maybe it’s a perfume your grandmother wore or the smell of freshly cut grass. Scent is powerful. As ambassadors of Christ in a fallen world, Paul describes us as carrying “the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus.”
Sometimes the same scent can evoke different reactions in different people. One person might associate the scent of lilies with Easter, while another associates them with funerals. The spiritual fragrance we carry as Christians is even more powerful than the scents we experience in the physical world. Paul says those who are being saved will be drawn to this scent, while those on the path of destruction will detest it.
Whatever reaction we experience, may we proudly carry the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus to each person we encounter and leave its lingering scent wherever we go.
About this Plan

From Genesis to Revelation, “God’s Redemption Story” outlines the narrative of God’s plan for the reconciliation of humanity. This 12-part reading plan summarizes the story of the Bible. After the gospels, the New Testament's focus becomes the formation of the Church, its mission, and its implications in our lives.
