God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 1 )Намуна

Romans: Week 2 – Day 3
For ancient Jews, what you ate or didn’t eat meant the difference between being right with God or being denied entrance to the synagogue. When God told his Apostles to share the good news with non-Jews, everyone assumed the new converts would give up their unclean foods.
But Paul declared that Jesus gave us the freedom to choose the foods we like and still worship a holy God. While food isn’t as big an issue in our modern culture, Paul still makes an important point - we can hurt others when we are dogmatic about our personal opinions —nutrition, politics, etc.
Let’s take some time this week to ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance on which of our beliefs are our preference and which are his will for us. Then let’s ask him to show us how best to love those around us.
