God has a great purpose for your life. It is totally individualized for you and your needs, but ultimately, it’s to bring glory to God and give you the abundant life that Jesus speaks about in John 10:10:

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Every person has a different background, past, and sin struggles. God’s plan for your life doesn’t look like His plan for anyone else. Don’t get caught up in comparing yourself to other believers or what God is doing for them or in them. You will find freedom in God’s purpose for you if you keep your eyes on Him and continuously pray for his guidance and direction.

Colossians 3:23 says, “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

If you’re living a life focused on bringing glory to God, you’ll be following His Word, communicating with Him regularly (prayer), and seeking His will for your life. This doesn’t mean you’ll ever be perfect, as only Jesus is perfect. However, you can ask God to give you the strength to stay on a path that’s focused on Him and not on the things of this world.

Be encouraged that this is a journey, not a marathon! You may experience ups and downs, so lean on the Lord for your strength and focus on what He’s called you to do. This is the ultimate way to live a life of purpose so you can bring glory to God and enjoy him forever!
