The Ultimate Superhero

Imagine feeling completely hopeless. There's this guy, lying on the ground, sick for almost his entire life. His only hope? A pretty strange belief that if he could get to a special pool first after it stirred, he'd be healed. But he couldn't walk, only crawl, and deep down, he knew he'd never make it. He was all alone with no one to help him.

Then, out of nowhere, this Stranger shows up. He walks right through the crowd of sick people, looks directly at him, and asks, "Do you want to be healed?" Thinking this guy might help him get to the pool, he says, frustrated, "It's not that I don't want to; I can't get there!" What he didn't know was that the Stranger in front of him was Jesus, the Most Powerful Being in the Universe. Just one Word from Jesus could heal him completely.

And then it happens. Jesus speaks, and instantly, the man is healed. Not just a little bit healed, but fully healed— instantly able to run and jump and live his life again. In just a few seconds, his life was completely changed. And just like that, Jesus was gone. He didn't stay to heal everyone there that day. He chose this one guy, this "pathetic sinner," to show His Power and give him a new start, a chance to be part of society again and live a normal life.

GO DEEP

Think about your own life. Is there something you need help with that only Jesus can fix? Unlike the guy in this story, you know who Jesus is, and you can talk to Him anytime. You don't have to wait in despair. The Powerful God who created the Universe knows you and cares about you, even if sometimes you feel alone and invisible in a crowd. Remember that Jesus is ready to step in and transform your life.

BE BOLD

Think of someone you know who needs a superhero in their life right now. Pray for them and when you get a chance, tell them about Jesus and how His Power has made a difference in your life.
