Throughout middle school, it can feel like everything is changing. Your classes, your friends, your body, your understanding of yourself—it can feel different every single day! In this phase of life, it can feel like the easiest thing to do is to try to fit in and do what everyone else is doing. But in his letter to the Romans, Paul challenges us to see new experiences as an invitation to change. No matter the changes we’re navigating in this season of life, we can allow God to use them to change us for the better. Instead of doing what everyone around us does, we can ask God to change us from the inside out.
Are you walking through changes right now? Write them down. Keep a list of the changes you’re facing in this season of life. Then, next to them, write a positive thing you see God doing in your life during that change. Place that list somewhere you’ll see it often throughout the week as a reminder of how God is changing you, day by day.
