A bold and contagious faith

Our faith in God and our boldness to reflect Him in the world is dependent on how we experience Him. If we lean towards boxing Him into a western, caged, genie-type God, then that’s how we’ll express our faith – with timidity more than unabashed boldness. We live at risk of diminishing the power that is within us.

But if we recognise that the God we worship is wild, uncontainable and limitless, then our lives will reflect that. Our relationship with God will reflect that. The God who parted the Red Sea, slayed a giant, fed 5,000 with a boy’s lunch, and raised Jesus back to life again! This is the God we serve!

And even more wild than that, He chose to make His dwelling place within us. This is how powerful God’s Spirit is in us. Let’s give Him the honour and glory and freedom to do with us what He deems is for our good and for His glory.

Father, transform my vision of your presence that expands my heart and my imagination. Bless me with a bold and contagious faith. Create in me a pure and bold heart that seeks your will for me and for your world around me. Open my mind to explore the limitless grace of your kindness today.
