Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

This is My beloved Son. Hear Him! (Mark 9:7).
Do you value Jesus above all people?
Jesus displays His glory before Peter, James, and John giving them a glimpse of God’s majestic kingdom. Mark describes Jesus’ glory. “His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them” (Mark 9:3). Mark informs us that Elijah and Moses also appear. Is this Moses’ first trip into the Promised Land? Peter, expecting God’s kingdom to appear immediately says, “Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah” (Mark 9:5). The Father allows no one to be equated with Jesus. For this reason, He says, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” (Mark 9:7). In other words, don’t categorize Jesus with Elijah and Moses. Elijah and Moses are indeed both men of God; however, only Jesus is the Son of God.
Employment Point: Honor God’s glorious Son above all men.
