Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; for the future of that man is peace (Psalm 37:37).

Are you striving to lead a blameless life?

David gives the following wise counsel: “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity” (Psalm 37:1). Here, “fret” means to be warmed, fume, or be incensed. The wicked only thrive for a short time, and “they shall soon be cut down like the grass” (Psalm 37:2). Conversely, David desires his readers to focus upon “the blameless man,” which term means given to integrity. He points out, “For the future of that man is peace.” Evil men do not experience the peace of God. Isaiah writes, “The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their ways; they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever takes that way shall not know peace” (Isaiah 59:8). Let’s pursue the path of peace through righteous living.
