Daily Bible Reading—May 2024, God’s Guiding Word: Spiritual RenewalНамуна

May 19
Introduction
Acts 2:1–13: Today marks the day when many Christians celebrate Pentecost. God sends the Holy Spirit to give power and courage to the gathered believers. They begin to tell the good news about Jesus, which people hear in many different languages. Some people are happy and excited, while others make fun of the Lord’s followers.
Today’s Key Verse: Acts 2:4
They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
Reflect
How is the coming of the Holy Spirit described? What caused a large crowd to become excited? In what ways do you experience the Holy Spirit in your life?
Pray
Amazing God, through the power of your Holy Spirit, many people today are able to hear your message in their heart language and have come to know of your love and salvation. I thank and praise you, Lord God, for the gift of your Holy Spirit in my life. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Acts 2:14–28: The apostle Peter speaks to the crowd.
