The Jesus Mark Wants You to Know - 28 Days to Become More Intimate With JesusНамуна

Day 25 - Mark 14:10-72
Betrayed and Abandoned
Jesus goes from being lavishly loved on to betrayed and abandoned.
The day after He is anointed with perfume, Judas betrays Him. And after languishing in the garden over what's about to take place, the very friends who should have supported Him, His disciples, all flee in fear.
All but Peter who promised to die for Him, until that is, he was discovered as one of Jesus’ disciples. And then he flat out denied he ever even knew Jesus.
Jesus went from one extreme to the other yet never flinched in His love and dependence on the Father.
He does not “need” the loyalty of His followers. Yet there is no greater show of love and honor, than for a follower to stay faithful in the face of fear, rejection and even death. This proved to be true later on for the disciples and it proves true to this day for our persecuted brothers and sisters.
If tested, where is your level of loyalty?
