On Father’s Day we take time to honour our fathers. We love our dads, they play an important role in our lives and no matter what your family looks like you can honour your dad, grandfathers, uncles or great men in our life that help you and care for you.

Dad’s are known for telling corny jokes, such as:

• How many apples grow on a tree? All of them.
• Where do you learn how to make Ice-cream? Sundae School.
• What do you call somebody with no body and no nose? Nobody knows.

God gives us dads to love us, care for us, protect us and teach us. Your dad might be a hard-working genius, a strong brave hero, the best BBQ chef, or the funniest guy ever. No matter what your dad is good at, the best job he has is to love you! Father’s day is a chance to take time to honour your dad and important men in your life.

Did you know that honouring parents is the only commandment that promises long life as a reward? God teaches us to honour our parents and we will have a looooong and happy life. That sounds pretty good! On Father’s Day no matter what the situation in your family is, take the time and honour the men in your life. Who knows, you could live a loooooong life until you’re a 130!
