What Jesus Said About Our Calling to Be Disciple-MakersНамуна

He prepared His disciples to be disciple-makers
Before Jesus sent His disciples to the nations and the earth's dark places, He trained them. Look closely at Matthew 28:18-20: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.
When Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 that He was sending His disciples to make disciples of all nations. He made them disciple-makers who could make disciples and disciple-makers of all nations. There had to be a multiplication of disciple-makers!
He spent most of His time to disciple, training and equipping twelve men to go out to make disciples and disciplemakers. But He also trained and sent out 72 others. Luke 10:1 – After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit.
Read 2 Timothy 2:2 - And the things that you have heard me say among many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be qualified to teach others as well.
Paul is saying to Timothy:
1. Timothy, I am training you.
2.You (Timothy) must then train trustworthy men.
3.And these trustworthy men must train others.
In this verse, Paul gave us a model of how to do the work. Paul trained Timothy, Timothy trained trustworthy men, and the trustworthy men trained others… and on and on and on.
About this Plan

God is calling all of us to be disciple-makers. But He also has a specific calling for all of us - a specific place in the church or the world where we must live out our calling.
