5 Days of Comfort: Count Your Blessings and Stop StressingНамуна

Eternal Love
God promises to always love us with a love as eternal and unmoving as mountains. This promise is truly beautiful and comforting. Such steadfast, pure love may be hard for us to understand. We live among changeable humans like ourselves, and even the strongest love we’ve experienced is subject to temptation, self-interest, and anger. But God’s love isn’t like that. That’s why the metaphor he gives is so helpful. It shows how incredible and dependable his love is. His love is stronger and more stable than the mountains. Have you ever seen a mountain move a few feet to the side? The thought is ridiculous, but such an event is more likely than God’s love ever departing from you and me.
We must trust in this love and emulate it in our own lives. Our love for others should grow ever stronger and steadier. Our kindness should never depart from those we live with, those we encounter at our work or school, or the unsaved we meet every day. We must be loving as our heavenly Father is loving.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your everlasting love.
