Be YouНамуна

Too often we allow our relationships, or more specifically, the past wounds or struggles in our relationships, to form how we see ourselves, how we view God, and how we perceive others. These past pains and disappointments construct obstacles to lasting and loyal relationships.
Today, we will look at a topic that is essential to keeping our hearts both strong and open: our identity.
We have all had areas or seasons where we have allowed people, experiences, or achievements to form our identity. Let’s be clear: these things will never create or reflect our true identity. The truth is, God has already decided who you are and how your identity is defined, and today we are going to take a look at what He says.
We have a two-fold responsibility: know what He says and agree with what He says.
God has a definition for your identity, and it is closely tied to His plans for you. The enemy also has a plan for you, and it is not one we want to be unified with in any way. Our agreement matters tremendously. Knowing what God says isn’t enough; we must also be in agreement with what God says.
So, who does God say you are? To name just a few: God calls you blessed, loved, free, beautiful, courageous, redeemed, chosen, forgiven, and victorious.
When we get into agreement with God’s view of us, fully and freely, it gives us the correct lens for viewing ourselves and others. Today’s Scripture readings hold identity statements that apply to you. It’s an amazing list, and it’s not even comprehensive in capturing God’s gracious and generous view of us!
About this Plan

We all desire friendships that are life-giving, authentic, and where there is a strong sense of honor, support, and loyalty. God wants us to flourish, not only in our relationship with Him, but also in relationships with others. This seven-day reading plan provides a roadmap for understanding a Biblical view of friendship, identifying the obstacles to creating healthy relationships, and ultimately, finding freedom to love and be loved.
