The Lord Is With You

In Judges 6, God sent an angel to Gideon, assuring him that he could defeat their enemy, the Midianites. It's crucial to catch that in verse 11, the Angel of the LORD calls Gideon a "mighty man of valor," meaning a courageous and fearless man. Before this, the Angel of the LORD emphasizes, "The Lord is with you." Moreover, in verse 16, The LORD reinforces, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites..."

Similar to the Israelites, we face various challenges in our lives, and we might feel overwhelmed, just like Gideon did in verse 15. We might think we're not strong enough, equipped, or qualified to handle certain challenges. It could be doubts about our intelligence, appearance, or any limitations we perceive in ourselves.

Here's the thing: when we see ourselves through our lens, we tend to focus on our limitations. However, we need to learn to view ourselves through God's eyes and what He has called us—mighty. Most importantly, we must recognize that the Lord is with us.

Every time God told the Israelites, "I will be with you, and you shall defeat...," that's exactly what happened. They won those battles every time. So, just like the Israelites, we can depend on God. You can overcome every battle in your life because the Lord is with you and has declared you victorious!
