PRAYING FOR OUR GOVERNMENT
Praying for the government is one of the most necessary reminders in our lives today. It is easy to either complain about the government or to place undue hope in the government. To think they will rescue us or to look at all the areas they have failed. But in scripture, we are told to pray for kings and rulers, and we are told not to speak evil of them. So if you love those in government we need to remember to pray for them. If you don't like the people in government, then you know they need Jesus, and they need help to lead the nation. We want to pray for their salvation and for God to direct their steps. We want to pray for those who are in offices and also that God would raise up Godly people to rise up in positions of authority and influence. Here are some ways we can pray:
- Pray for their salvation and repentance (2 Chron. 7:14)
- Pray for God to direct their steps (Prov. 21:1; 3:6)
- Pray for God to give them wisdom and direction. (James 1:5)
- Pray for repentant hearts (Luke 1:17)
- Pray for the Godly men and women who will rise in power and influence to lead the nation toward the Lord. (Esther 4:14)
About this Plan

We are taking 21 days to seek God first. Prayer is powerful! Prayer is a way that we can partner with God to see His kingdom come and His will be done. When we pray together, it draws us closer to God, bringing not only results but unity as we seek Him together.
