Red Flags, Respect, & RelationshipsНамуна

One recent Sunday, I felt awful. The night before, I had a massive fight with some of my friends, which left me feeling more alone than ever. When I went to church that day, I wanted to leave before worship even started. I wanted to crawl back into my bed and listen to all the best sad music on repeat.
But I stayed. And as the band started the first song, my dad started singing. Of course, I’d heard my dad's "singing voice" before, but that day, when he reached for a high note with an off-key belt, I started laughing.
"Why do you always sing so loud?" I asked him.
To my surprise, my dad laughed with me and responded, "I guess, sometimes, that's all I can do."
The older you get, the more you realize that sorrow and struggle are everywhere, even in our relationships with other people. So, when you find yourself knee-deep in the difficulties of this world, turn to God and sing. Fill your lungs with praise!
Today, no matter your struggles, pray to God and ask God to fill your heart with music, laughter, and joy.
