Paul makes it very clear that even though he is in prison and could face a death sentence, his circumstances are not a hindrance to the gospel being spread. He says that just the opposite is true. During his time being imprisoned, he was able to write Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. Paul’s faith witnessed to the observers in a way that led them to come to believe in Jesus as well. And it gave his fellow believers a reason to share their faith more boldly and courageously.
